You’ll receive regular updates and guidance on supporting your child between sessions, so we can work together on their progress.

Integrative Counselling blends different therapeutic approaches to suit the unique needs of
each client. No two people are the same, and neither is therapy.
Sessions are flexible and may include elements of talk therapy, creative work, mindfulness,
and other modalities, always tailored to you.
The focus is on building a strong therapeutic relationship that supports lasting change.
At Rose Cottage Therapy Centre, therapy doesn’t have to stay inside four walls. We are
fortunate to have a safe, private, and calming outdoor therapy space that allows sessions to
take place in nature.
For many children and adults, being outdoors can reduce anxiety, ease tension, and make it
easier to open up. Whether through movement, play, or quiet reflection, the natural
environment can help people feel grounded and more connected.
-Calming Environment – Nature provides a gentle, soothing backdrop that can
help clients feel safe and relaxed.
-Playful & Expressive – For children, outdoor sessions can include play, creative
activities, and movement that feel less formal than a therapy room.
- Freedom of Space – Some clients feel more comfortable talking while walking,
playing, or exploring outdoors.
- Grounding & Mindful – Outdoor sessions encourage mindfulness, presence, and
connection to the senses.
-Walking & Talking – Moving side by side can sometimes make it easier to share
feelings.
- Creative Work – Using natural materials (stones, leaves, chalk, clay) for art-based
therapy.
- Play Therapy Outside – Games, sensory play, and storytelling in the fresh air.
- Quiet Reflection – Simply sitting outdoors, using the calming space to think, breathe,
and talk.

Our outdoor space is private, enclosed, and designed with safety in mind. Sessions can easily
move indoors if the weather changes or if a client prefers.

Whether indoors or outdoors, therapy at Rose Cottage is always guided by your needs and comfort. The outdoor space simply offers another way to connect, express, and heal.

All sessions will be tailored around what suits our client. So whether they're outdoorsy or prefer the comfort of indoors we will provide a welcoming and warm safe space.
